Dear Members and Friends of the Association,
It is now exactly two weeks since we successfully completed the task of bringing racing back to Reading, Pennsylvania and the Reading Fair. It was an awesome event. Now that the dust has settled (or mud has dried) and we continue on with our regular lives, I realize the numerous people and groups that have helped to make this dream a reality. I am uncertain that any words I use to say, “thank you,” will be enough. I am humbled by the generosity and hard work of many individuals. This has been a community project from the sponsors to the Reading Fair board. Reviewing the entire project, it has been very rewarding to see the progress that was made with so little financial funding.
It would be a great feat to list every single person who has donated to this project; however, not only would it take many pages of this newsletter to list, it is my fear that I would miss one name and that would be devastating to what I aim to accomplish with this letter. So, to every single person who has given so much personal time, equipment, energy, ideas, funding, support, memorabilia, and gifts, this endeavor would not have been possible without your kindness. In addition, thank you for giving of your heart, dreams, and of yourself. Thank you just does not seem to be enough.
In closing, I am impressed by what RFRHS has accomplished in the year and eight months of its existence. My wish is that we never take anything for granted and continue to improve and grow within our association. Thank you to all.
Sincerely,
Mike Grim
President of RFRHS
